On March 11th 2012 at 2 PM the Arts Bus, central Vermont's mobile arts studio for children, will hold a major fundraising event at Chandler Center for the Arts in Randolph. This FUNdraiser will be fun for kids and adults! The Bus, which contains a studio, library, music space, and pocket theater, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which depends upon grants and local donations in order to bring free art activities to children. Live musical guests include: Jon Gailmor, Chris Smith, Barry Miller, Dar Lynn Treadwell, and Joe Schenkman with Jake Wildwood and Tom Christiano. Also, 3-mini plays, written and performed by the children enrolled in the Arts Bus Drama Club will be presented on stage. The Silent Auction features donations from over thirty-five local businesses, including Central Supplies, Patrick’s Place, Holiday Beauty Salon, Belmain’s, Welch’s Hardware, Riches Recycled, The Herald of Randolph, Al’s Pizzeria, Curves of Randolph, Blue Moon Boutique, Ken’s Barber Shop, Bud and Bella’s Bookshop, NAPA Auto Parts, White River Craft Center, Federated Auto Parts, and many, many more! Autographed prints from renowned Alaskan artist Jon Van Zyle, as well as other fine art, will be included in the silent auction, held in the Upper Gallery at Chandler. There will be a Bake Sale and Costume Photo Booth, held in the lobby. Doors to the main hall will open at 1:45pm and admission is by donation. The show starts at 2pm!
