These Clouds Are Real: Selections from the Flaming Lips' 1995 album Clouds Taste Metallic

This project was performed, arranged, and produced by Christopher Smith during March and April 2017 in Trinidad, Colorado. Piano tracks were recorded at the Trinidad Hotel; thunder was recorded on Commercial Street; some vocals were recorded at “the finest venue outside of Denver.” All words and music © The Flaming Lips/Lovely Sorts of Death Music .

Drum tracks contain samples from the Flaming Lips' 1995 "Clouds Taste Metallic" album, They Might Be Giants' 1986 self-titled debut release, "I'm The One Who Loves You" by The Millionaires, "Book of Love" by The Monotones, and "I Love You" by Dauphin Williams. “When You Smile” contains an excerpt of Bob Dylan and The Band performing “Yea! Heavy and a Bottle of Bread,” as released on the Basement Tapes Raw.
